Overseeing a retail store or department is the overall responsibility of a Retail Manager. These managers handle the recruitment, training, evaluation and mentoring of employees under their command. They review the stores sales performance and implement new strategies to increase sales and help workers meet targets.
A Retail Manager usually performs many of the following tasks:

• Delegating responsibilities
• Coordinating with the advertising manager
• Keeping track of displayed products

Regardless, employers expect their employees to have the right skills to become Retail Managers.
