I feel like starting again , help
Hello yall , I’ve been in the welding business for 3 years now. I've been thinking now could be the perfect moment to get my own rig and get started, I have tools, a vertical 6010 and 7018 cert as well as a thick pipe certification, a truck and money for diesel welder. How can I be insured? Do I need to do it myself? If so what kind of insurance should I ask for? Any tips on how could I get hired as a rig welder? Thanks,

Hey dude, sorry , but I have bad news.. I’ve been in the business for 7 years and I can assure you that there is a secret to get a job in the welder field. CONTACTS. Maybe you feel is the same in every field but here is different, if you don’t know someone you won’t get a good job. Even if you know someone who knows someone who knows someone… you are covered. If you are 100% ready to work just start calling everyone. I do 2 to 3 hours of calling every morning. How to get contacts you might ask if you don’t know anyone in the industry? Keep a stack of your cards end every time you stop for gas exchange cards with every welder you meet. At least is something easy to tell. Don’t be shy or feel stupid because if you don’t do it you won’t succeed!Dec 19, 2017
