Juvenile Probation Officers are intermediaries between the system of justice and offenders who are not yet at an age where they can be jailed. They have specific duties of supervision and help in the rehabilitation of young criminal offenders providing behavioral monitoring and counseling. These officers can also obtain a certification to have better job opportunities. This qualification is offered by the American Correctional Association.
