Do I still have a chance? (Job wise)
I'm 22 years old and want to work in IT as a software engineer. Back when I was 20 I was arrested for a misdemeanor. Long story short I never got convicted and I did this diversion program and ended up getting my charge dropped and expunged. I was wondering can I still get a job as a software engineer or am I barred from that career field?

Hi Listenupjunior22, from what I know an Expungement allows a person to start his life all over again without the negative effects of having a criminal record. So you can apply to any job without having to disclose your criminal record, so it means that an expunged crime is legally considered to have never happened. SO good luck with your job career!! Hope you find the job you deserve.Sep 4, 2017
