Elizabethtown is the fourteenth largest city in Kentucky, United States and the seat of Hardin County. Its population was estimated at 25,942 in 2008. It is the principal city of and is included in the Elizabethtown, Kentucky Metropolitan Statistical Area, which is included in the Louisville–Jefferson County–Elizabethtown–Scottsburg, KY-IN Combined Statistical Area.
