Accounting Clerks are required to perform financial and accounting tasks inside a company. They use specialized software to process payroll, receipts, expenditures, among other financial transactions for an organization. These clerks work in Accounting Departments inside companies and sometimes they team up with a Certified Public Accountant.
An Accounting Clerk usually performs many of the following tasks:

• Bookkeeping duties.
• Presenting financial plans.
• Creating bills and invoices.
• Checking financial records.

Education
Accounting Clerk jobs require candidates having high school grade 12, including a diploma in accounting in bookkeeping. Among suitable graduate degrees for this area are Finance and Business Accounting. It is recommended to have a computer degree in Accounting Software and an Associate’s Degree in Accounting or Business. Those degrees are focused on skills and accounting procedures in computerized accounting techniques. In order to move to higher positions, some candidates also have a Bachelor’s Degree, but this award is not necessary for most job positions.
