They may work in various fields such as fashion designing, academics, branding, multimedia, advertising, and web designing. They are required to use computer software to design publications, websites, newspapers, magazines, among other media. These professionals may work in the offices of their clients or in their own office.
Designers usually perform many of the following tasks:

Persons who want to work as Designers are required to have a Bachelor´s Degree related to this field as a minimum requirement. Many professionals working on this industry also have a Master´s Degree in order to have better job opportunities and higher level positions. A Degree in Fashion Arts is suitable for those who want to be Graphic Designers or Fashion Designers. In the case of Commercial and Industrial Designers, applicants for those fields usually have a degree in Engineering or Architecture. Many employers offer on-the-job training programs that last one to three years for those who do not have enough experience in this industry. Professionals working as Art Directors usually have a Master´s of Fine Arts in Graphic Design. The same qualification is required to be a Creative Director plus a marketing background including a Master of Business Administration Degree in Brand Management.
